5 reasons Solaris Power is the ultimate luxury boat

For the discerning buyer, a Solaris Power is more than just a luxury italian day boat. It is a high performance statement of elegance and a significant personal capital investment. Mass produced alternatives are common place and do not deliver the same level of personalized ownership as a bespoke solaris power.

Here are the top five reasons why a Solaris Power will be the ultimate selection for your personal flagship on the French Riviera.

1. Solaris yacht: iconic italian design from 40ft to new 70ft flagships

With so many options available when purchasing a Solaris Power, ownership starts with a clear vision of scale and style. The Solaris Power range has been developed to provide a complete and un-paralleled level of versatility ranging from the agile 40ft models, to the majestic new 70ft long range and gran coupe flagships.

Design mastery

Every Solaris Power model has a “head turning” line that perfectly blends the pinnacle of Italian design with proven marine seaworthiness and the high-end finishing standards expected from a leading Italian shipyard.

Elegance and semi-custom interior

Each vessel can be customized with a unique “couture” interior. All fabrics and leathers used are of the highest marine grade quality and have been specifically treated to maintain a showroom condition under harsh sun conditions and salty sea spray conditions.

Flexible layout

Enhance safety and convenience when entering or exiting the water with either a high low hydraulic swim platform that allows you to easily and safely get into your tender boat or off of your yacht for your guest(s) and crew.

2. Innovative engineering - performance and seaworthiness

A Solaris motor yacht is designed for those who view technical reliability as equally important as aesthetics. Every hull design utilizes years of development and refinement utilizing CFD (computational fluid dynamics) technology from Victory Design Studio to optimize the hull design for fuel efficiency while meeting target speed margins.

Efficient dynamics

The Solaris motor yacht hull is the result of a 10-year collaboration between Victory Design by Brunello Acampora and Volvo Penta, specifically optimizing hulls for IPS propulsion to achieve maximum fuel consumption efficiency and minimum wave impact on the vessel at all speeds.

Comfort at Sea and Stability

Regardless if you are cruising or anchored, this design will provide superior stability with minimal motion while providing your guests with the ultimate comfort experience.

Gyro stabilizer systems (Quick and Seakeeper) may be installed as an additional option when anchoring to further enhance comfort.

3. Uniqueness and resale value

The rareness of an ultra-luxury motor yacht is one of the most important factors in determining the resale value of the vessel.

The Solaris shipyard produces a limited number of vessels annually to maintain exclusivity and rareness for each vessel.

Every Solaris motor yacht is customized to meet the owner’s vision and therefore each vessel is truly one-of-a-kind and will stand out as a masterpiece in its own right.

The characteristics mentioned above aid in maintaining a higher resale value than standard production yachts sold on the secondary market.

4. Precision command - easy handling

Solaris vessels are designed for the owner that wants to be able to operate his own vessel as well. The state-of-the-art propulsion systems on Solaris vessels will help you navigate through even the most congested areas of the Riviera with ease.

The proven Volvo Penta IPS propulsion system combined with a bow thruster enable precise maneuverability and effortless docking in tight areas. The Volvo Dynamic Positioning System and Interceptor solution ensure the vessel is always under control and in command.

The walkaround philosophy

The shipyard signature “walk around” design provides wide, secure walkways and solid stainless steel handrails to protect children and guests from navigating the vessel from the stern to the bow.

Advanced hull construction

Hulls are vacuum and infused in a single piece at one of the Solaris facility, using high quality vinylester resin and closed cells Airex foam to prevent osmosis and to insure the resin completely penetrates the laminate to maximize strength.

Unlike other shipyards, Solaris bonds the bulwarks directly to the hull to ensure maximum structural integrity and substantial noise reduction. To guarantee quality, every hull undergoes comprehensive thermal testing to detect any subsurface defects or delamination.

Solaris Power: frequently asked questions

Including annual operational costs as a part of your yacht ownership budget beyond the acquisition price is something to consider when planning your purchase.

Who created the Solaris Power hulls?

The Solaris Power hull was developed through an ongoing partnership of over 20 years between Victory Design (Brunello Acampora) and Volvo Penta. Together, they have been developing specific hull designs that optimize the flow of water with the pod propulsion system of the Inboard Performance System (IPS), thereby providing a harmonious integration of the two components.

Can I charter a Solaris Power before I buy?

Definitely!

To help you get a feel for the brand, we offer day charters for the Solaris 40, 44, and 60. You can book them directly via our boat rental platform.

Where is the Solaris shipyard?

The Solaris Group has three facilities, and the Solaris Power shipyard is located in Forlì, Italy, near Ravenna.

How does the Solaris 44 hull achieve this level of efficiency?

The Solaris Power 44 is built for all-weather performance. Because of its very sharp and vertical bow, along with the maximum flare, it burns just 73 liters per hour at 20 knots when driven by twin 480 hp Volvo Penta IPS engines. In contrast to conventional planing hull designs, the Solaris 44 maintains both stability and efficiency at low speed (displacement).

This high standard of performance is consistent across the entire range, including the ST, Coupé, and Long Range models.

Does a Solaris Power need a stabilization system?

While it is possible to fit a gyroscope-based stabilization system such as Quick or Seakeeper, it is usually considered optional for a Solaris Power model. The advanced hydrodynamic characteristics of the hull, combined with its width as defined by Victory Design, make the Solaris Power extremely naturally stable during both normal operation and at rest, providing a very comfortable ride without the additional weight and maintenance associated with an additional system.

Can you select the interior fabric materials on your Solaris motor yacht?

Yes. Solaris Power has a collection of high-quality interior fabrics and upholsteries from which owners can choose. They can also use the same high-end materials for their cabin and salon interiors to ensure the interior design matches the superior design of the yacht’s exterior.

Why do the Solaris Power boats have folding bulwarks?

The Solaris Power “fold-down terraces” add about 20% to the available cockpit space on the smaller models. This enables the creation of a seamless “beach club” walk-around experience for the passengers that brings them closer to the water while still maintaining the safety of the high bulwark when the vessel is under way.

Which models make up the Solaris range?

The Solaris lineup includes Open sport yachts, the Open Sport yacht ST series with its extended hardtop and integrated windscreen, and the Coupé line featuring a deck salon. The range is completed by the 70ft Long Range flybridge and the Grand Coupé.

Which layout options are available?

These models are available in several configurations tailored to your lifestyle, number of guests, ranging from luxury day boats to family cruisers.

ModelCabinsBathroomCrew cabin (option)
Solaris Open 441/211
Solaris Open 522/321
Solaris Open 602/32/31
Solaris 70 LR3/43/41/2

The 52, 60 and 70 models are also available in a coupé version which includes a fully enclosed deck salon and an integrated galley.

What is the warranty period for a Solaris Power vessel?

According to the builder Terms and Conditions: “Subject to the remaining provisions of this Agreement, the Builder warrants that for a period of 24 (twenty-four) months from the Delivery date of the Vessel (“Warranty Activation Date“) the Vessel will be free from any defect in respect of any materials, work done or item manufactured, supplied or assembled by the Builder and/or its sub-contractors, suppliers, servants or agents (the “Warranty“).”

Please refer to the shipyard’s official Terms and Conditions document for further information

Can I choose the hull color for my Solaris?

Certainly. Solaris Power offers a wide range of high-durability PPG coatings. You can even customize the color of the superstructure and the interior passageways.

Is it possible to equip my boat with engines other than Volvo Penta?

No because Solaris Power has a very close technical partnership with Volvo Penta and Victory Design. Their hulls are specifically engineered to work with Volvo’s propulsion systems to achieve their signature performance and fuel efficiency.
